November 2009 - Dragon Tree Attends North West Leics Tourism Promotions Networking Day Dragon Tree presented the new website for www.somewherenicetogo.co.uk to the audience which involved about 60 people from various attractions, guest accommodation and Leicestershire Promotions.  The audience was informed about the tourism services available to them and strongly urged to communicate at both a local and regional level.
October 2009 - Dragon Tree invited to East Midlands Airport The team were invited to East Midlands Airport to launch a new website www.somewherenicetogo.co.uk and to take part in a behing the scenes tour.  The tour involved visiting the new Tree Sculpture in the Arrivals Hall, learning about how scents are used to enhance the visitor experience in both departure and baggage reclaim.  The team viewed the fantastic oversized images of local sportsment and women who will be competing in the 2012 Olympics.
June 2009 - Dragon Tree Race for Life On Sunday 21st June 2009, the Dragon Tree team walked a very brisk 5 kilometres in the Nottingham Victoria Embankment Race For Life. We walked so briskly that we overtook many people jogging the race.  In all we raised just over £175 in cash and Gift Aid donations.  There was talk about running it in 2009!

March 2009 - Dragon Tree attend the One East Midlands Event

The Team at Dragon Tree attended “Weathering Storms: the resilience of the 3rd sector in an economic downturn” event hosted by One East Midlands. Throughout the day attendees were involved in workshops to discuss how One East Midlands could support the Third Sector and strengthen their existing relationships. February 2009 - Dragon Tree now members of SEEM
Dragon Tree has been working diligently over the last year to ensure that our products and services will help meet the requirements of the social enterprise and community and voluntary sectors in the East Midlands with their business and marketing practices.   So we are pleased to have been accepted as a member of Social Enterprise East Midlands (SEEM).  

December 2008 - East Midlands Business Brokerage Platform
Working to develop the flexibility of the services offered by Dragon Tree, membership of the EMB Brokerage platform now allows us to offer grant aided services to other social enterprises throughout the East Midlands Region.

November 2008 - Dragon Tree awarded SEBA grant
Through close working and liaison with Business Link, Dragon Tree has successfully applied for and been granted the Social Enterprise Business Advice grant to help us financially bring in expertise to look at the unique proposition of marketing ethically from start to finish.

October 2008 - The Dragon Breathes……
After many months of initial set up work, Dragon Tree UK Ltd became a reality.  With the assistance and at times guidance from a support network provided through Business Link, the team has pulled together a vast array of great services and offerings aimed at benefiting all organisations focused for Social and Community benefit.
