Marketing Strategy is the process which allows an organisation to focus a limited resource in order to gain a competitive advantage over its competitors. The subsequent Marketing Plan details the actions that are required in order to achieve the objectives as detailed in the Marketing Strategy. Typically, a Marketing Plan will cover a period of one to five years and will be integral to the overall business plan.
Project Management is a method employed by an individual or a team to plan, organise and manage resources in order to achieve the successful completion of the stated project goals and achievements. Effective Project Management is achieving a successful completion within the stated parameters of time, resource and finances. A Project is a piece of work which may vary vastly in size and scale, however is common in the fact that is has a defined beginning, middle and end.
Business Process Improvement (BPI) is the methodological approach by which an organisation optimises it's underlying process in order to improve. BPI focuses on "doing things in the right way" in order to reduce waste and over working. However, BPI does not detail "doing the right things", this needs to be addressed by Process mapping and analysis. In essence, BPI works when an organisation knows it's internal processes and then improves upon them.
